Systems Engineering

Auxilium International ensures an interdisciplinary field of SME that come from a variety of engineering fields focus on how complex engineering projects should be designed and managed throughout their respective life-cycle.

Systems engineering involves balancing the cost, schedule and performance that encompasses system requirements, supply of products, supply chains, and production systems, including both logistics and maintenance processes, to supply optimum design specifications. This facilitates the transition of requirements into effective design specification. Auxilium International understands and has extensive experience in performing these activities.

Auxilium International

Design & System Integration

Auxilium International has vast experience in performing and managing major system integration projects that include a wide variety of technologies and capabilities.

Our system integration projects range from ISR, SOA, AOC Weapon System, Information Operations, C4, Intel, Cyber Security, Broadcast Systems, Kill Chain Management, and Border Security.

We have supported numerous government agencies in the design and integration phases of legacy systems, new start projects, and COTS systems to include:

  • Developing and implementing technological development strategies, plans, and systems architectures

  • Develop complex system analysis; resolved system-level design conflicts

  • Functional system architecture development

  • Logical and physical design

  • Providing requirements traceability from system design documents, through testing, and back to revised system designs

  • Develop system specifications and requirements

  • Perform system integration studies to assess viable options

  • Component design and system integration for complex IT, ISR, and C4

  • Integrating disparate stovepiped systems

  • Review and evaluate system functionality

  • Obtain, install and test modified components

  • Maintain, modify, augment, and enhance systems

Test & Evaluation

Auxilium International is experienced in performing Test and Evaluation (T&E) for many different types of systems. Systems T&S consists of software products, communication systems, ISR systems, and other Intelligence systems.

T&E is the process by which a system or components are compared against requirements and specifications through testing. The results are evaluated to assess progress of design, performance, and supportability. It is absolutely critical that Developmental T&A is used as an engineering tool to reduce risk throughout the product/system life-cycle.

Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) is the actual or simulated employment of a system by the users under realistic operational conditions. System test must assess:

  • Reliability

  • Availability

  • Maintainability

  • Supportability

  • Usability

Key aspects throughout the T&E process.

Performance Evaluation

  • Measures of Effectiveness are specific metrics that are used to measure results in the overall mission and execution of assigned tasks.

  • Measures of Performance are specific metrics that have a pass or fail limit that must be satisfied. These are generally identified with the words shall or must in the specification.

  • Measures of Suitability evaluate the ability to be supported in its intended operational environment. (A system with excessive failures may satisfy all other requirements and not be suitable for use)
